چکیده

Primary hyperoxaluria is the most severe stone disease responsible for multiple recurrence and impairment of kidney function. It a rare inherited with an autosomal transmission. Due to high proportion consanguineous marriages by comparison other areas in world, this pathology more frequent North Africa. Stones are made calcium oxalate monohydrate, which not unique cannot help physicians diagnosis. By contrast, morphology may be useful marker pathology. We report our experience based on 614 stones from Moroccan children analyzed infrared spectroscopy examined stereomicroscopy determination their morphological type. Our results show that 85 (13.8%) exhibit type Ic morphology, strongly suggestive patients. was confirmed all subjects subgroup 43 patients who benefited urinary biochemical explorations revealing whewellite crystalluria very creatinine ratio.

Plasma and urinary amino acids in children with primary hyperoxaluria and in normal children.

The demonstration of an abnormal aminoaciduria or aminoacidaemia may provide a genetic marker in the study of inherited diseases as well as help to elucidate the biochemical abnormalities that are present. The urinary excretions of oxalate and glycollate are increased in primary hyperoxaluria, and there is evidence that the metabolic lesion involves the glycineglyoxylate pathway of glycine meta...

Hyperoxaluria with hyperglycoluria not due to alanine:glyoxylate aminotransferase defect: a novel type of primary hyperoxaluria.

Considering the clinical heterogeneity of primary hyperoxaluria type I (PH1) and the fact that in many instances this diagnosis was made without enzymatic and immunohistochemical investigation, other disturbances of oxalate metabolism than those presently known can be expected in PH1. Using a gaschromatographic/mass spectrometric method that allows quantification of these acids, hyperoxaluria a...

Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 in 18 Children: Genotyping and Outcome

Background. Primary hyperoxaluria belongs to a group of rare metabolic disorders with autosomal recessive inheritance. It results from genetic mutations of the AGXT gene, which is more common due to higher consanguinity rates in the developing countries. Clinical features at presentation are heterogeneous even in children from the same family; this study was conducted to determine the clinical ...
